Stormwater Billing Information
Sanitation District #1 bill which many of you just received includes stormwater charges and if you check the top portion of this bill,
it should show that this charge is for the month of September. We urge you to check your past month's billing history from SD1.
It appears that they may be 2 months behind in their billing rather than 1 month behind as we reported. Remember that the City of
Cold Spring has billed you from October 2013 forward.
Stormwater Quality Management Plan
As of October 1, 2013 the City of Cold Spring is responsible for managing stormwater quality in the city. Previously, Sanitation District #1 had this responsibility. In order to comply with state water quality requirements, the city had to prepare and submit a Stormwater Quality Management Plan (SWQMP) to the Kentucky Department of Water (KDOW). The SWQMP outlines the tasks and activities that the city will perform over the next five years. The plan was submitted to the KDOW in November.
