Expert Witness
Environmental Rate Consultants, Inc. has participated directly in five as fact and/or expert witness testimony and consultation services. ERC staff can provide expert advice or testimony in the areas of utility rate setting and processes, rate structure equity and fairness, storm water utility development process, level and cost of service, Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) development process and cost allocation processes.
ERC Expert Witness Clients
- ERC has successfully defended the City of Lancaster, Ohio storm water utility program litigation from a property owner by performing "fact witness testimony".
- ERC is currently providing expert witness testimony for the City of Cold Springs, Kentucky versus Sanitation District 1 (SD1), the regional sewer district located in Northern Kentucky.
- ERC is currently providing expert witness testimony for an Industrial Client against Erie County Sewer District 6 in New York State.
